Hi, Im Patrick Barnitt. I'm an actor and a singer. I sing Frank Sinatra type music. Standards. I have a horror film out right now called Coffin that I star in with Kevin Sorbo and Bruce Davison. I've also done a lot of work on Star Trek as a Borg. I just appeared in a Walking Dead webisode, Cold Storage, as a "Walker". I spend a lot of time snapping my fingers and tappin my feet and impersonating Christopher Walken.


1. What are the top two questions you're sick of being asked - and, their answers?

How often I shave my head...answer...every five minutes!

What do you do that brings you joy...answer...engage in Tomfoolery.

2. What song would you consider to be your absolute guiltiest pleasure?

3. What do YOU consider to be the root of all evil?

The root of all evil to me is apathy.

4. Is there another celebrity that people say you look like?

I've been told I look like Yul Brynner.

5. The last time you were completely wasted:

Last time I was wasted was at my brother Rich's wedding a while ago. Endless Gin and tonics. The longer I sang the more difficult it was to remember the lyrics!

6. Do you still do anything special to celebrate your birthday? Why or why not?

Every year I celebrate my birthday with a few friends for an italian meal and then I sing at the Dresden Room in Hollywood.

7. One of the hardest lessons you've had to learn in your adult life?

That you can't control people, but can only control the decisons that you make in life.

8. A phrase/word that is/was ever trendy, that drove you insane?

The phrase, "It's all good" drives me nuts. More often than not, It's not all good.

9. Do you Google your name or have a Google Alert on it?

I've googled myself a few times:)

Who are you?: 

I'm an aspiring actor, musician, composer, producer, and writer living my dream in Hollywood, California.  And while I have so far been lucky enough to work in "the industry" (and with some of the legends of the horror world), every day I thank fortune because in the end...I'm still just a wide-eyed fan/dork who somehow got lucky.

1) What are the top two questions you're sick of being asked - and, their answers?: 

I haven't been interviewed enough times and am certainly no sort of celebrity to really feel like I'm "sick of" any questions posed to me.  So I'll just go with questions that get posed to me in "real life"...

"Why are you still a Cubs fan?"  Answer: because in my mind, being a loyal and steadfast Cubs fan proves that you can endure any hardship that life throws your way.  If you're optimistic (read: dumb) enough to have new hope for the team every Spring...then you've got what it takes to make it through just about any trial.  And hopefully one day...that patience and faith will be rewarded.

"You REALLY liked 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'?  Seriously, dude?!"  Answer: yes, now please stop asking me that before I get angry.

2) What do YOU consider to be the root of all evil?: 

I know a lot of people would answer with "money"...and I'm going to go a similar route: unchecked and unabatable greed.  I look around and see it everywhere and it just really makes me stop and shake my head and think to myself, "Man...when is enough enough?!"  People who have so much always want more and seem to think they never have enough and it just sort of makes me laugh because...those people will never be happy or find what they're looking for.  And while I don't want to come off like a prick or seem judgmental by saying something like that...I think people will understand exactly what I mean and am trying to convey.

3) If you had to pick someone in the celebrity world to back you up in a fight, who would you pick and why?: 

Easiest question of the lot: Harrison Ford.  That guy's not only one of the greatest screen icons in the history of cinema...he's also a real-life hero who doesn't take any shit from anyone, tells it like it is, and I'm sure could kick copious amounts of ass if called upon to do so.  Not to mention...how cool would it be to know you were duking it out with roughnecks alongside Indiana Jones/Han Solo?  'Nuff said, methinks.

4) If you had the chance to own your dream car, would you let it simply sit in a garage or would you actually drive it?: 

My dream car is a DeLorean...and if I got one, I would soup it up to make it an exact, screen-accurate match of the time-machine from Back to the Future...and then I would drive that thing into the ground!

5) Star Wars or Star Trek?: 

Since I was old enough to have a single thought that actually mattered, I have NEVER bought into the idea that you cannot absolutely adore and be a fan of both of those franchises and worlds.  My wife will attest to the fact that I am living proof of that fact.  I grew up a diehard Star Wars "baby"...but once I reached my teens, I discovered the amazing world of Trek with episodes of The Next Generation...which lead me to seek out the feature films and go back to the original series as well.  Both worlds are so completely unique...and they're both filled with amazing character, life lessons, wonderful stories, etc.  Plus...I appeared (barely!) in a few scenes in the J.J. Abrams reboot (which I absolutely loved), so I have to be a proud Trekkie!

Now...if you're asking me a "If you could only have one for the rest of your life..." sort of question...then as much as it pains me to say it, I would have to say...may the force be with us...always.  Geez, I look back on all my answers thus far and I have REALLY outed myself as the world's biggest dork, haven't I?  Oh well, I still was able to marry the prom queen...and she loves me.  So...take that, world!

6) Any phobias?: 

A couple of really strong ones, actually.  But I don't think revealing them in an Internet interview that could potentially be read by millions of people across the world is the smartest thing for someone who is technically in "the public eye" to do.  So let's just go with: puppies and tits.  I'm terrified of both.  Especially boobs.  So if anyone ever wants to terrify me...that's a good way to go.  Show me some boobs and I'll scream like Jamie Lee!

7) How far do you think you would get if you went on the show 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?':

This isn't the type of question I should be honest with, is it?!  If I say "all the way", people will think I'm a conceited jerk (which many already do).  If I say "I'd fail miserably", people will think I'm being falsely modest.  Ahhh, the lovely Catch-22's of show business.  (sighs)  I'll be honest: I think I could do really, really well.  Seriously.

8) Ever actually *facepalm* or *headdesk* before?: 

Several times, actually.  Many of those incidents took place during George W. Bush's Presidency.  Ooops, have I said too much?  Oh well.

9) Is the omission of information considered the same as lying?: 

My attorney has advised me not to answer this question.  Wait...did I just tell a lie?!  CRAP!

10) Do you still watch kid movies- without any kids around? If so, have a favourite?: 

Abso-friggin'-lutely!  Favorites include just about anything Pixar (although I wonder...are those technically considered "kids movies"?)- I still say Toy Story 3 was the best film of last year -and Sesame Street Presents: Follow That Bird.  You haven't lived until you've seen the scene where Ernie and Bert fly an airplane.  Absolutely magical, my friends.

The answser: No.

How could you have played Jason Voorhees if you are so short?

The answer: If I was any taller I would not have been asked to play Jason
Voorhees, since in the first film (1980), he was still a little boy.

2) What's the oddest thing a fan has ever brought as a gift for you, or
for you to sign?

A bottle of real Absinthe.

In Germany, I was asked to autograph a bottle of homemade Plum Schnapps!

Also bottles of sand and water from the real Crystal Lake in New Jersey.


3) If you were being chased by a bear, would you totally trip your friend

NEVER! I would trip the bear...

who would it be and why?

To go back in time and play with Frank Zappa... Because it was the most
amazingly creative and disciplined band that Rock Music has ever heard!

How well is that working out for you?

My politics are generally considered incorrect. Except by radical monsters.

Who are you?:

-Eric Stuart, singer/songwriter and leader of the Eric Stuart Band, voice actor starring in such anime shows as Pokemon, Yugioh, etc, director, writer and video game addict.

1) What are the top two questions you are tired of being asked- and, their answers?

-To say stupid Kaiba lines from the abridged series. Not really that funny. Our real outtakes are much funnier.

-Why did you do that to Yugi, etc. The answer is I am just the actor. I have no say in any of the story line.

2) What's the oddest thing a fan has ever brought as a gift for you, or for you to sign?

-Breasts. I think that says it all.

3) What trend in recently made films are you sick of seeing?

-Celebrity voice actors. Casting someone for their name and not their talent is annoying and hurts the grunts like me who really need the gig.

4) If the human race was obliterated and you were the sole survivor, how long do you think you'd survive?

-Hmmm, maybe a year. I know how to do a lot of stuff. What would probably kill me is the loneliness and having no one to sing songs to.

5) Kharma/Karma - what are your thoughts on it?

-I totally believe in it. I have seen great examples of payback as well as gifts for being a good person.

6) Have you ever been ramen noodles every dinner or dish soap for laundry soap kind of broke?

-Close. Peanut butter and jelly every day for a month. Stuck in limbo between selling one house and buying another. The overlap of having two homes for 9 months was a true test.

7) Have you ever mentally invented something that you KNEW would have been useful, but were too lazy to go through the creation process?

-Nope. Lazy is not a word that I would ever use to describe myself. I probably never had the time to invent something since I am always creating.

8) Do you do your absolute best to speak in a politically-correct manner? How well is that working out for you?

-Nope. I speak my mind. Now, my thinking and my politics may be considered politically correct but I don’t need to be aware of it to say the right thing. Either you feel it or it is forced. Everyone has their own prejudices and those that deny it are lying. We must try to educate ourselves so that we learn we are not very different from one another. I strive to be more educated so it is working out for me.

9) Is there anything in your closet that you've borrowed from someone else?

-No. But my closet is filled with things I should lend to other people. I have way too many clothes, shoes, etc that I do not wear anymore but refuse to get rid of.

10) Ever had any issues with stalkers?

-Yes. Many. One in particular came to my front door one night and banged and screamed for me to ‘let her in and how could I have done this to her by not being with her’. Let’s just say my landlord was not too pleased.

 Words from me: The first time I met Eric was only about 3 weeks ago, at the FrightNight/FandomFest convention this past July. I won't lie- when I saw his name on the guest list two weeks before- I had a mild geek out (not like..crazy spazmo geek out, but I did have a quiet little SQUEE!). We go to a lot (a LOT) of cons every year - and, aside from the personal friends that we get to see there, I generally don't look forward to any of the guests. Out of probably 25+ cons, Eric is only the 3rd person I'd ever looked forward to seeing at a con that I wasn't already friends with (the first two being Robert Englund aka Freddy Krueger and Doug Bradley aka Pinhead). Why was I excited? I haven't really watched too much anime in about a decade, but when I did, I watched a LOT of it. Honestly, I HATED the concept of 'PokeMon' but the first time I watched it and was introduced to 'Team Rocket,' I was won over. More specifically, the character of 'James.' And, it was the voice, actually, that amused me the most. It was the strangest noise (in a good way) that I'd heard from any -male- anime character. Of ALL of the anime I've seen, James (and, that voice) will always be in the top 3 of my favourite characters. Eric is, also, only one of 3 voice actors' names I remember from back then. X.x When I met him, he was nothing but a sweetheart to me even though I'm sure I was a strange thing to him. When he agreed to do a set of questions, I had another little SQUEE! to myself. Show him love and support. He's worked hard for it and deserves it (*cough*go-listen-to-'One Good Reason'*cough*). And, thank you, Eric, again.
